Grey Owl is a spreading juniper with soft silver-gray foliage in graceful, slightly arching sprays, staying two to three feet tall while reaching five or six wide. Female plants carry blue berry-like cones the songbirds take. It is a native-derived workhorse for sun: drought, heat, banks, and poor soil are all fine. Give it room sideways and it asks nothing else.
