Enci is a mugo pine forming a dense, dark green cushion three to five feet around, slowly, with no pruning needed to keep it tight. It brings evergreen weight to foundation beds and rock gardens without ever becoming a tree. Sun and drained soil are its needs; drought is fine once established. If you want it even tighter, snap the spring candles in half.
