Lilac Lights is an Exbury-type azalea in soft lilac-purple, a deciduous azalea hardy to the coldest winters we will ever see. Fragrant trumpet clusters open in spring before the leaves, and fall foliage goes gold. It grows loose and upright to about four feet. Morning sun or high shade, acid soil, mulch, and drainage; wet clay is the only real threat.
